The new Evolution Grow Tents have a new naming strategy:
those beginning with “Q” are square
those beginning with “R” are rectangle.
Its a simple difference isn’t it? And yet we’ve often wondered about the prevalence of the square foot-print grow tent. Yes they work with many grow systems, e.g. a 1m x 1m hydroponic table fits snugly into a 1m x 1m tent but is better used in a 1.2m x 1.2m one. And yet … many grow lights have rectangular reflectors, or like many of the new LED GROW Lights, have a rectangular light print. Yes, a good tent with a reflective lining will bounce back this lightprint into a square but it does make sense to offer a rectangular tent as well as the traditional square footprint one.
Perfectly Proportioned: excellent design!
The R120 is perfectly proportioned to fit a 600w HID light in a rectangular reflector, and has opposing vent holes to suit an aircooled light, but maintain the 1m square grow area so you are packing more watts/metre than in the Q120 tent. It also suits a Bulldog 12 spot brilliantly, enabling you to use just 380 watts and get a resin-drenched grow from a square metre tent. The PAR+ technology of the reflective inner lining means that light is distributed evenly and it makes an intensively productive space.
